Students develop a tendency to think critically and logically about the perceptions and practices related to personal and societal health. It helps students develop skills for health promotion so that they can contribute to the individual and community well-being. Students are encouraged to plan and take collective action for the betterment of society. 

No matter how educated the world is becoming, people are still neglecting or are unaware of the health hazards. Consequently, severe and fatal diseases take thousands of lives every year. Due to this phenomenon, governments and universities are giving high priority to health education and the production of skilled and quality health workers, scientists, and researchers. Thus, Health by no means is a minor discipline provided at academic institutions. Its importance and scope in terms of employment are experiencing significant growth year by year.
