Certified Translation & Notarization Services in Korea
KIEC has partnered with the Hanbeon Administrative Attorney Office (Once Translation) to provide legally recognised translation, notarisation, and consular authentication services for students in South Korea.
About Once Translation
Once Translation is an administrative translation office based in Seoul, Korea. An Administrative Attorney in Translation supports clients in all aspects of administrative translation processes.
Unlike a general translation agency, Once Translation operates as a licensed Administrative Attorney office specializing in translation. It provides comprehensive services including translation, notarization agency services, and issuance of a Certificate of Translation.
“Han” refers to Korea or the Korean language, and “Beon” means translation. Together, “Hanbeon” represents Korean translation while also carrying the meaning of “Once.”

Legal Recognition in Korea
In Korea, an Administrative Attorney (Haengjeongsa) is a government-licensed legal professional authorized to handle administrative procedures and documentation on behalf of clients. An Administrative Attorney in Translation is legally empowered to certify that a translated document is true and accurate under the Administrative Attorney Act.
Most Korean institutions including Immigration, universities, and public organizations accept the Certificate of Translation issued by an Administrative Attorney as a valid substitute for notarized documents.
This provides a one-stop legal solution, saving both time and cost compared to separate translation and notarization processes.

However, as a nationally authorized translator, an Administrative Attorney is legally empowered to issue this certificate directly under their own professional responsibility and license. Since most Korean institutions (Immigration, Universities, etc.) accept the Certificate of Translation as a valid substitute for notarized documents, you can save significant time and money by choosing this “one-stop” legal solution.
