NEB Grade 12 Grade Increment (Supplementary) Exam 2083

Did you get an ‘NG’ (Not Graded) or miss a couple of papers in your recent Class 12 exams? Don’t panic! The National Examination Board (NEB) has officially released the schedule for the +2 reexam (Grade Increment/Supplementary Examination).

Here is everything you need to know about when the +2 reexam is, who can apply, and how to submit your application form.

Who is Eligible for the +2 Reexam?

The supplementary exam is open only to regular examinees who appeared in the annual Grade 12 exams held in Baishakh 2083 (with registration numbers starting with 82) and meet any of the following conditions:

  • You secured a minimum of ‘D’ or above in all theoretical subjects but got an NG (Not Graded) in a maximum of two subjects.

  • You secured a minimum of ‘D’ or above in other theoretical subjects but were absent in a maximum of two subjects.

  • You secured a minimum of ‘D’ or above in other theoretical subjects but got an NG in one subject and were absent in another.

Key Dates: When is the +2 re-exam?

Mark your calendars! The exams will be conducted over just two days, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM each day:

  • Shrawan 02, 2083: Students appearing for only one subject must take their exam on this day, no matter the subject. 
    • Students taking two subjects will take the exam for the subject with the smaller code number.
    • Exception: Students taking both Compulsory English (0041) and Compulsory Nepali (0021) must give the English exam on this day.

  • Shrawan 03, 2083 : Students taking two subjects will take the exam for the subject with the larger code number. 
    • Exception: Students taking both English and Nepali will give the Nepali (0021) exam on this day. (Note: No English exam will be held on day two) .

Application Fee & Deadlines

Make sure to submit your application form through your respective school within the following deadlines:

  • Normal Fee Deadline: Asar 19, 2083 | Fee: NPR 800 per student.

  • Late Fee Deadline: Asar 26, 2083 | Fee: NPR 1,600 per student.

  • School Submission: Schools must submit collected forms with payment vouchers to the NEB office by Asar 28, 2083.

Important Instructions for Exam Day

  • Arrival: You must reach the exam hall at least 15 minutes before the exam starts (by 10:45 AM).

  • Materials: Bring your own graph paper, charts, log tables, or bank vouchers if required for your subject.

  • Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, and other electronics are strictly banned. Carrying them will result in exam cancellation.

  • Exam Centre: You must take the exam only at your designated exam centre. Centre changes are not allowed. (Centre details will be published by the NEB soon).
