Youth Work is an exciting and challenging career which involves working for and with young people in rewarding ways. Community service workers are different from Youth workers in the sense that young people are the primary concern of Youth workers. Youth work helps foster young people’s emotional and social development and acknowledges the social and cultural environments within which young people live.
Besides studying youth work units, students also study sociology and choose electives in the Bachelor of Arts. You will gain valuable practical experience working with young people and dealing with their needs, problems and aspirations of young people.
