Plumbing technology courses are typically offered as part of apprenticeship programs. However, students can also work toward an associate’s degree, diploma or certificate in this field. This course usually requires lectures, workshops and hands-on experience as teaching tools. Plumbing technology classes include pipe fitting, drainage, sanitary systems and plumbing codes as the topics of teaching and learning. Students also learn about the design and installation of heating systems. Plumbing students need to gain knowledge on Basic electricity, Gray water technologies, Rainwater harvesting, Biofuel and solar technologies, Potable water systems, Water-intensive appliances etc.
This program will equip you with specialized skills in restoring and renovating solid plasterwork, applying a variety of texture finishes and leveling surfaces. On the other hand, tiling courses will allow you work on new buildings, renovation projects, and industrial sites.
